This retreat is all about nurturing, centering and restoring your nervous system. Over the Australia Day long weekend ~ spend 3 nights, 4 days in the sublime Blue Mountains, immersed in nature, yoga, bushwalking and Relaxation.

Immerse in daily yoga, yin & restorative practices, guided meditation, relaxing yoga nidra and nature bush walks.

Our retreat is set on 40 acres overlooking the valley. It also features a purpose built yoga shala, delicious fresh meals (with veggies straight from the garden), bush-walks and a solar powered hot tub to soak sore muscles. Find a cozy nook to nestle into amid the trees to read a book. Let your mind and body unwind ~ what more could you want on a weekend away?

Afternoon guided discussions will help you reconnect to your core purpose. Examine what “living yoga” means and traverse the koshas (layers of the subtle body) to move, breathe, feel, think and act from a more relaxed and centered space. Slow Flow practices help you re-balance from the everyday busy-ness of life.

This retreat is for all levels of yoga practitioners beginners – advanced.

2:00 pm – Arrival / Check in (Light snacks & refreshments will be provided upon arrival).

5:00 pm – Welcoming Circle with a guided restorative yoga practice followed by a delicious dinner prepared for you by our in-house chef.


7:30 am – 9:30 am Good Morning ~ Stretch, Move, Breathe (yoga practice, mediation, chanting)

9:30 am – Breakfast + Free Time

11 am – 12:30 pm – Guided bush walks or free time to indulge in the spa & enjoy all the Blue Mountains have to offer.

1-2pm – Afternoon Tea & Lunch (Chai, coffee & tea and light snacks are available throughout the day)

4:00 pm – 6:00 pm  Afternoon Practices / Workshops – exploring Yoga Philosophy and practices of relaxation to unwind and soothe your nervous system.

6:30 pm – Dinner / Free time / Spa


7:30 am – 9:30 am  Good Morning ~ Stretch, Move, Breathe

(yoga practice, mediation, chanting)

9:30 am – Delicious Brunch

11 am – 12 pm – Closing Activity

Yoga is a holistic practice of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. Each day you will be guided in daily morning practices designed to help you feel revitalized and nourished.

Afternoon sessions will explore various aspects of coming back to your centre and resting down to soothe and balance your nervous system, mind and body.

Our daily group practices will take place in the purpose built Yoga Shala. You may also like to explore your own personal practice on one of several beautiful balconies with leafy views. All practices are optional – this is y0ur time to relax and renew.


Let our chefs take care of you completely. They great pride in preparing delicious and nutritious with fresh local and seasonal produce (much of which is grown onsite) from the property’s own garden and orchard.

Food will be mostly vegetarian – all dietary preferences, including gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian/vegan can easily be catered for.


This retreat is all about nourishing, re-balancing from our busy lives. We will experience practices, meditations and breathing techniques which help you reconnect to your core, purpose and values. We will examine “living yoga” and the layers of embodiment of the Koshas to feel, move, breathe, think, act and be centered on all levels.

VANAM is a Sanskrit word that means sacred forest, beautiful garden or cluster of lotus flowers. But it is more than just a garden – it is a sacred space where yogis gather to do the ancient rituals and practices amid and in harmony with nature. In Sanskrit language the root Van also denotes – a deep longing and desire (for spiritual growth), abundance, and a sacred ‘abode’.

An Eco Retreat Space

This beautiful property in the heart of the Blue Mountains – is situated on 40 acres of native bushland and is home to a wide variety of native birds and other wild life.

Built with natural materials including straw bales, cob, recycled timbers and earthen renders – this contemporary hand-crafted home was built using ancient building principles applied in a modern context.

The main building includes 3 large guest bedrooms each with private ensuite and deck, a large, modern kitchen and a spacious, open-plan indoor-outdoor living/dining room. With 2 x self contained bungalows in the garden. Guest have exclusive use of their spacious bedrooms, ensuite and private deck and share the common lounge and dining spaces.

It also features a purpose built yoga shala overlooking the valley, solar-powered hot spa, and a beautifully cultivated edible and ornamental gardens.

Getting There

Mount Victoria in the Blue Mountains area (90 min drive from Sydney). Public transport is also available, and we can help organise transportation to pick you up from the train station.

You will receive detailed arrival instructions once you’ve confirmed your booking.



What to do on your free time

In addition to the twice daily yoga and workshops to deepen your practice. In this sublime location, your free time there is plenty to do: bush walks, taking a stroll in the garden, find a cozy nook to read a book.

Afternoon workshops offer you opportunities to learn about yoga philosophy and the 5 Koshas to integrate and embody the practices.

There are plenty of hiking trails and a spa (hot tub) on site, bring your hiking boots and bathing suit!



Full payment (or a minimum of $500 AUD deposit) is required to secure your place. Your deposit or payment in full confirms your booking.

$500 is non-refundable, but may be transferred to another retreat if you give 90 days notice in writing.

Full payment is required 45 days prior to retreat commencement date.


With a minimum of 3 months (90 days ) notice prior to the retreat start date – if another student can be found to take your place the fees you paid may possibly be transferred to another retreat (within 12-16 months) at our discretion. Please note, this may incur a $150 admin fee.


Cancellations with less than 3 months (90 days) from the retreat start date – $500 deposit is non-transferable & non-refundable.

If another student can be found to take your place, and you give notice in writing, the remaining balance you paid (minus the $500 deposit) may be transferred to another retreat (within 12-16 months) at our sole discretion.


We understand that unexpected circumstances sometimes occur. It is recommended each participant insure themselves with insurance to protect from any extenuating circumstances which may prevent you from attending or may affect your participation in the retreat.
